Statement Type

Statement Type sets the strength of the disclosure statement the issuer is making.

The statement preview is system-provided based on the selected option and appears verbatim in the issued document.

Options are Certification (recommended) and Informational disclosure, depending on whether the issuer is formally certifying or providing context only.

Why statement type matters

The statement type tells the reader how strongly the issuer intends the disclosure to be read. It affects the posture of the document before the reader reaches the rest of the details.

How to choose

Choose the strongest statement type the issuer can responsibly stand behind, but not stronger. The rest of the document should support that choice rather than quietly contradict it.

What statement type does not do

The chosen statement type does not convert the document into independent certification by the platform. It expresses the issuer's posture, not a third-party adjudication.
